SEA Innovate Hub

The Sea Innovate was designed to identify new approaches, new forms of collective action, and new solutions in order to address social challenges through innovation. It is based on three pillars: sharing good practices, a services database, and utilizing a dedicated MARKETPLACE TOOL. Its aim is to help partner universities become creative hubs that encourage personal initiative and foster the development of spin-offs through strategic/commercialization support and improved access to finance. The HUB will facilitate breakthroughs in the way business, higher education, and research collaborate. This approach helps address complex societal challenges by combining sectoral and cross-sectoral innovation and bringing together people from different sectors, backgrounds, and disciplines who may not otherwise meet, to jointly find solutions through innovation projects.

The SEA-INNOVATE HUB will also provide networking and knowledge exchange opportunities for (early stage) researchers from the Spin-off Competence Lab with business professionals from the industry, such as through joint (online) events or workshops. A platform will offer tools and training, utilizing the resources of SEA-EU Academy, and integrating the Spin-off Competence Lab for cooperative management of research infrastructure. It will also explore possibilities for improved regional and institutional governance for the sharing of facilities, equipment, and other resources to better leverage strategic assets.
